    Nach 1945 befand sich in dieser Schule das Flüchtlingslager 44 in dem deutsche Flüchtlinge, die per Schiff über die Ostsee aus Ostpreussen evakuiert wurden, untergebracht waren. Unter diesen Flüchtlingen war auch die Familie Kattau aus Thiergart, Krs Marineburg.
